Hi! My name is Lisa Beard, and this is my sixth year at Ebinport and I’m the special events and community relations coordinator. I consider myself lucky because I get to work with almost everyone in the building. I get to sprinkle a little sunshine to all our students, faculty, and staff. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Design from Winthrop University and enjoyed being a buyer for my family’s clothing store. I have been married to Tim Beard for 33 years. We have two boys, Timothy (27) and Garrett (24) both graduates of the University of South Carolina, so I think it’s true to say I’m an avid Gamecock fan. No one can beat us at tailgating!

I have volunteered in the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½D for over 18 years and held several major PTO positions. I was a lead teacher and yoga instructor for 9 years at St. John’s Preschool. Over the past several years I have enjoyed connecting and partnering with organizations throughout our community to help meet and exceed our students’ individual needs. I am honored to bring fun activities and events to our EPES faculty and staff throughout the school year. I am beyond blessed to plan and work beside several incredible local community partners. Last year, our school family partnered with a local church to assemble and distribute 500 Thanksgiving meals to our families at EPES, and this summer we have worked to assure each student at EPES will receive a new book bag filled with their grade level school supplies.

Fun Fact: I attended Ebinport Elementary School and was a cheerleader! Go Eagles!
