I am a native of Rock Hill and have lived here all my life with my parents and four sisters. My husband Chris is also from Rock Hill and we have two wonderful children. Savannah is 17 (a senior at YPA) and Nicholas is 15. We have a dog named Pearl, a Chinese Crested Powder Puff, who looks like a cotton ball puff. I graduated from Winthrop University with a BS in Early Childhood. I am working on a master's degree from Clemson at this time and will graduate in May of 2025.  I have taught kindergarten, first grade (1 single gender boys' class), and second grade throughout my teaching career. I enjoy reading mystery books, cooking, taking photographs, exercising, creating projects and discoveries for my students, and most importantly spending time with my family. We love to go hiking, swimming, kayaking, going to the beach and having family game night. As an educator I truly enjoy seeing and getting to know my students each and every day. Our class becomes a little family where we care about each other and want the best for each other. The excitement in students when they know they have learned something new is priceless.
