• ATC Logo The Applied Technology Center offers a variety of career and technical high school courses, designed specifically to prepare students for success in college, technical/specialty school, or the workforce. ATC courses provide students the opportunity to use academic skills in a project-based, hands-on learning environment.

    • Students who successfully complete two years of a program may earn a certificate of completion
    • Level I courses are one (1) credit introductory courses. Level II courses may be one or two credits courses.
    • Some courses may offer the opportunity for Early College (the ability to earn both high school and college credit.)
    • Early College students may be required to pay fees for tuition/ textbooks and/or supplied necessary for the class.
    • Students may qualify to participate in a work-based Cooperative Learning education experience.
    • The Computer Literacy graduation requirement may be satisfied by designated ATC courses.
    • Registration priority for Level I is given to juniors.

    FROM COLUMBIA VIA I-77

     

    • Take I-77 north toward Charlotte
    • Travel approximately 60 miles
    • Take exit 73 (Hwy. 901)
    • Turn left from exit ramp onto Hwy. 901
    • Continue approx. 5 miles to traffic light
    • Continue straight through the light (be prepared to yield to traffic from left after the intersection)
    • Turn left at the next traffic light (car wash on left) (Hwy. 901 continues)
    • Continue on 901 for approx. 5 miles
    • At 4th traffic light turn left onto Hwy. 5 (Main Street)
    • Proceed through two traffic lights (York Road Elementary on the right)
    • Turn left at the next light (Exxon to your right)
    • Turn left at next street
    • Park in the visitor’s parking area in front of flags
    • Enter front door and office is located straight ahead

     

    FROM  CHARLOTTE VIA I-77

    • Take I-77 south from Charlotte
    • Right lane exit at Exit 82B toward York
    • Remain in right lane and turn right at end of exit ramp onto Hwy. 161
    • Continue on Hwy 161 (approx. 3 miles) to the 5th traffic light
    • Turn left onto India Hook Rd.
    • Turn right onto Hwy. 5 / Main Street
    • Continue on Hwy. 5 and turn left at 2nd traffic light
    • Turn left at visitor’s arrow (50 yards)
    • Park in the visitor’s parking area in front of school (Globe / Flag)
    • Enter front door and office is located straight ahead
    • Continue on India Hook, which become Herlong for approx 4 miles to the 6th traffic light

     

    FROM LANCASTER VIA HWY. 21

    • Take Hwy. 521 out of Lancaster toward Rock Hill
    • At split in road, bear left onto Hwy. 5 to Rock Hill
    • About 1.5 miles past Bowater, Hwy. 5 will bear right toward Rock Hill
    • After crossing I-77 highway will split again.  Take left fork (Hwy. 72)
    • After this split, go to the 2nd light and turn right (Hwy. 5 / Main Street)
    • Continue through downtown, cross RR tracks (The Herald on right)
    • Continue approx. three miles through six traffic lights (see York Road Elem. on right)
    • Proceed through that light (6th) and turn left at next light
    • Take next left (see visitor’s parking sign)
    • Park in the visitor’s parking area in front of flags
    • Enter front door and office is located straight ahead

     

    FROM SPARTANBURG / GREENVILLE VIA I-85

    • I-85 to exit 102  toward Rock Hill (Hwy 5)
    • Continue on Hwy. 5 for approximately 25 miles  (golf course to the left)
    • Turn left and continue on Hwy. 5 toward Rock Hill
    • Continue to the 4th traffic light (approx. 3 miles) (Days Inn on left)
    • Proceed through the light and continue on Hwy. 5 for approx. ten miles
    • Rawlinson Road Middle School and Northwestern High Schools to the right
    • Turn right at second traffic light (EXXON station to the left)
    • Take next left (see visitor’s parking sign)
    • Park in the visitor’s parking area in front of flags
    • Enter front door and office is located straight ahead
