    Living the South Pointe Way!

Located in Rock Hill, SC, South Pointe opened as the district’s third high school in the fall of 2005. The school began with only ninth and tenth grade classes, adding new ninth grade classes yearly until grades nine through twelve existed. South Pointe's first graduating class was in 2008. The school currently serves a diverse population of about 1,400 students.

South Pointe has been designated as a STEAM school beginning with the 2016-2017 school term.  The STEAM philosophy was phased in beginning with the 2016 freshmen class.

Additional highlights of the school’s programs include participation in the High Schools That Work (HSTW) network, the Project Lead the Way (science, technology, engineering and program) initiatives, and its partnership with Winthrop University to become a Professional Development School (PDS). South Pointe offers International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), and dual-credit college level.
