Central Child Development Center has been recognized among top in the nation by earning accreditation!

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ is proud to announce the Central Child Development Center has earned accreditation from the  (NAEYC)—the world's largest organization working on behalf of young children.

Central Child Development Center and the 4K satellite classroom at the Applied Technology Center currently serve more than 200 pre-K students. Principal Damon Ward and his team work every day toward setting the center’s students up for successful futures.

“We know we have a high-quality early education program here at CCDC,” Ward said. “This recognition reinforces our team’s commitment and dedication to enriching each child’s experience and validates the quality of our programming. This is a very proud moment for our families and school community.”

NAEYC Accreditation is a rigorous and transformative quality-improvement system that uses a  to collaborate with early education programs to recognize and drive quality-improvement in high-quality early learning environments.

To earn NAEYC Accreditation, CCDC went through an extensive self-study and quality-improvement process to verify and ensure that the program met each of the ten program standards, and hundreds of corresponding individual criteria. NAEYC-accredited programs are always prepared for unannounced quality-assurance visits during their accreditation term, which lasts for five years.

In the 30 years since NAEYC Accreditation was established, it has become a widely recognized sign of high-quality early childhood education. More than 6,000 programs are currently accredited by NAEYC — less than 10 percent of all childcare centers, preschools, and kindergartens nationally achieve this recognition.

“NAEYC-Accredited programs have committed to a process that takes time, energy and dedication to complete” said Alissa Mwenelupembe, Senior Director Early Learning Program Accreditation. “Central Childhood Development Center has demonstrated their commitment to young children and their families.”
