The PTO had the March Meeting last week, and we would like to give you all an update and share what is coming up in the next few months.
January/February Recap
Book Fair: The book fair was held at the end of January. Students had a great time, and purchased over $9,000.00 worth of books. Mrs. Smith was able to earn just under $4,000.00 to use as funding for reading & media material for our school library.
Pizza Treat for Students: The PTO treated our students and teachers to pizza for their Valentines parties.
Important Announcement
Please help us welcome Suzanne Schrader, who has accepted the role of Treasurer! Suzann was the PTA President at Rosewood and has a background in accounting and bookkeeping. We are very excited to have her as a part of our team!
Upcoming Events
As we approach the end of the year, there are many events and opportunities to get involved! If you decide to volunteer, please be sure that your volunteer card through ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½D is up to date.
Teacher Appreciation: March 14th- Lucky to Have You- Pie Day
Kona Ice: Kona Ice visiting school during lunch March 23rd. They will be bringing $3 cups.
Movie Night & Silent Auction Benefit: Friday March 18th We will be viewing the new movie Encanto. “Doors” will open at 6:30pm with the movie showing around 7:30. During this time we will also be hosting a Silent Auction to benefit our fabulous 5th grade teacher, Ms. Sara Wilson who is battling breast cancer. If you or someone you know would be interested in donating a themed basket/service/auction item, please sign up at this link so that we can know how many items to prepare for.
TShirt Fundraiser: The Staff will be hosting a fundraiser for Mrs. Wilson by selling “Sara Strong” Tshirts. Students and staff will have the opportunity to purchase by order form and online. Tshirt can be purchased through the
Fun Run: Fun Run Kickoff Party will be Thursday, March 10th @ 1:30pm. Collection Envelopes will be sent home no later than Friday. Donations may be given in the form of cash, check or online via the , or PTO Venmo. Information on that is listed on the envelope.
This year’s run is Luau Themed. We will be hosting “Try it Tuesdays” each Tuesday. Students will be given the opportunity to try a unique fruit that would not be something they have regularly. Collection dates will be each Wednesday, with prizes going home weekly.
The Fun Run itself will be held on Thursday, April 7th. This is the day before Spring Break. There will be many prizes given, but the most exciting is that each student who collects ANY AMOUNT of money for the fundraiser, will be entered into a drawing for a new pair of running shoes!! There will be one pair given per grade level.
